Important changes in the canteen at the Film University!

Starting in May 2025, there will be three important changes in the canteen at the Film University:
From now on, payments will only be made cashless. Additionally, a third price category for external guests will be reintroduced, as it was before 2018. Furthermore, the meal price for employees will increase.

1.) Cashless payment for smooth operations:

To speed up the checkout process and reduce waiting times, the canteen will now only accept cashless payments. Please note: Payment by debit card at the register is not possible.
The following payment methods are accepted:

• Student ID
• Staff ID
• Mensa Card (available from the machine in the entrance area)

Cards can still be topped up at the familiar charging stations. More information on topping up can be found on the website. Unfortunately, payments by debit card at the checkout will not be possible for technical reasons.

2.) New price category for external guests and price adjustment for employees:

At the same time, a third price category for external guests will be introduced. Additionally, the employee price (category 2) will be increased by 0.50 €. This applies to all canteens. These adjustments are necessary to cover increased personnel and operational costs. For students, the canteen prices will remain unchanged.
