The Studentenwerk has joined the city's alliance "Potsdam! bekennt Farbe"

On Thursday, May 23, the Studentenwerk Potsdam joined the alliance "Potsdam! bekennt Farbe" (meaning: Potsdam takes a stand). During the general meeting, the mayor Mike Schubert presented the Studentenwerk with its membership certificate. Eleven other organizations, associations and companies were also accepted into the alliance on the same evening.

The alliance "Potsdam! bekennt Farbe" has been committed to a tolerant and open-minded civil society since 2002 and campaigns against right-wing extremist, right-wing populist and misanthropic attacks and developments. Most recently, after investigations by Correctiv media were published, the alliance helped organize a demonstration in Potsdam on 14 January with more than 10,000 participants. In addition to organizations, associations and companies, democratic parties and parliamentary groups from the Potsdam city council are also represented in the alliance.

The Studentenwerk Potsdam is committed to promoting a tolerant and open-minded civil society, since the students in the Studentenwerk's area of responsibility are themselves colorful, diverse and international. All students should feel at home in Potsdam.

Joining the alliance was preceded by an introductory meeting and required a commitment to the alliance's guidelines. Last year, the Studentenwerk adopted its own internationalization strategy and defined guidelines and values that are in line with the alliance's guidelines.
